The Rundown

Good 2 Talk is a non-profit organization dedicated to post-secondary student well-being. This mission inspired the idea of a campus takeover. Ottawa is home to over 100,000 post-secondary students on an annual basis, making on-campus connection with students in the city a great direction for awareness. This campus takeover would be promote Good 2 Talk services, and create a memorable connection for new and returning students to ensure they have access to proper mental health and wellness resources.

Motivations

Good2Talk is doing great work for post-secondary students, but their services are not being fully utilized because students are not aware they can access them. Creating a strong campaign to connect with students allows for their mission to reach further and help struggling students.

Goals

  • Create a memorable campaign that connects with students long-term
  • Increase student awareness of Good2Talk services available to them
  • Create opportunities to directly talk to students to answer any questions they may have

Responsibilities

I conceptualized, sketched out, and designed this campaign in its entirety. With a passion for the non-profit’s mission, I entered each stage of the project strategically, thinking of student perspectives, Good2Talk’s goals, and a clear direction of how to best meet each need.

Project Outcome

This project grew into a beautifully raw campaign, voicing the internal struggles everyday students are facing. With three personas each representing a unique experience, students across campuses find opportunities to feel seen. With a tagline of “Hard Times Don’t Have to be Hard Conversations”, this campus takeover encourages students to open up and start the conversation about what they are struggling with. Each personas’ statement representing the first message sent on Good2Talk’s support platform.
